We offer small group guided tours throughout the Maori culture. You will come away with a deeper understanding and feeling of the Maori people. Your specialist Maori guide will begin with welcoming you into our extended family and will ensure your comfort and safety throughout the day.

Here at Pepeha Journeys or PJ’s as we call it, we share our connection with you through the Maori Pepeha. A Pepeha is a Maori person’s identity and their connection to the natural world, which incorporates a mountain, river, lake and spiritual homelands.

We start our day with a welcome in the Maori language. Once the formal protocols are complete, you are now part of our extended family, so sit back, relax and there will be plenty of time to ask questions.

We will share with you, traditions, history and stories of old that have been passed down to us through storytelling and the many wood carvings, designs and motifs found in the Maori culture.

You will experience mythical storytelling, visit sacred & spiritual sites and soak in geothermal mineral hot pools.

This is a 6-hour day trip with lunch and mineral pools included and pick up from the Rotorua I-site on Fenton Street.
